Discord Bluesky Notifications

If your community follows a Bluesky account, VeyroBot reads that account's public post feed every minute; when a new post appears (reposts and replies excluded), it posts an embed with the text, an image if available and a profile link to the Discord channel you chose, and can mention a role. No Bluesky account or API key is needed.

Domain-shaped handle

Enter the Bluesky handle in domain form (e.g. username.bsky.social); a leading '@' is optional and gets stripped automatically.

Only original posts; reposts and replies excluded

VeyroBot announces the followed account's own posts; a post it reposts from someone else isn't announced, because the card would then show the original author instead of the account you follow. Replies the account writes under other posts aren't announced either.

Checked every minute, posted in order

The feed is read every 60 seconds. If several new posts appear in the same check, they're posted oldest to newest (up to 3 per round); the rest follow on the next round.

Role mention or your own text

The default notification can mention a role. If you write your own text (up to 1,000 characters), it replaces the default; {streamer} becomes the display name and {url} the post link ({title} stays empty since Bluesky posts have no title).

Who it’s for

Servers following one or a few Bluesky accounts together, and account owners tired of sharing every new post by hand.

Who it’s not for

Not for those who also want to see posts the followed account reposts or the replies it writes — VeyroBot deliberately announces only the account's own posts.

Setup in 3 steps

  1. 1

Add the bot to your server

Open the invite link above, pick your server and approve the permissions. The bot comes online within seconds.

  2. 2

    Add the Bluesky account

Dashboard → your server → Bluesky Notifications: enter the handle in domain form (e.g. username.bsky.social), pick the announcement channel and an optional role, then press Add Notification Follow. The /streamalert add command does the same and requires Manage Server.

  3. 3

    Check the permission and wait

The bot needs permission to send messages in the announcement channel. The first check runs within a minute; a notification lands when the account shares a new post (existing posts aren't shared when you first add it).

Frequently asked questions

Do Bluesky posts have a title?

No. Bluesky posts are text only, so the card shows the post's own text instead of a separate title field.

Is an old post shared when I add the account?

No. When a new follow is added, the posts already in the feed are only marked as seen, none are announced. Only posts shared after the follow was added reach Discord.

How many Bluesky accounts can I follow?

Up to 25 Bluesky follows per server. The same account can't be added twice to the same Discord channel, but it can be added to a different one.

Are adult posts posted too?

Posts labeled as adult content on Bluesky (the porn, sexual or nudity label, on the post or on the account) are only posted to age-restricted channels; in a channel without age restriction they're skipped and shown on the Server Health card. If the account itself carries such a label, it can only be followed in an age-restricted channel.
