Carl-bot and VeyroBot compared
Short answer
Carl-bot is a Discord bot known for reaction roles and detailed logging, and it lists its free and premium limits openly on its own page. VeyroBot brings most of the same areas into one dashboard and adds a health score that audits whether the setup is correct. The more intricate your reaction-role design, the stronger Carl-bot stays.

- “each slot covers one server, and you can move slots between servers whenever you want. Discord subscriptions cover a single server per subscription.”
- “Reaction roles per server 250 / 1,000 · YouTube channel alerts 5 / 20 · Twitch stream alerts 2 / 5 · Weblog entries 100 / 500”
Where Carl-bot is strong
Carl-bot’s reaction-role system is one of the deepest implementations around: its own page lists 250 reaction-role pairs per server (1,000 on premium) with unique, verify, reversed, binding and temporary modes. Custom commands through TagScript and detailed logging split across channels are strengths too. If role automation is the centre of your server, Carl-bot holds its place.
Where VeyroBot differs
In VeyroBot, reaction roles, logging, AutoMod, support tickets, leveling, music and the AI assistant sit in the same dashboard — no separate bots and dashboards to run. The Server Health Score above them finds quiet failures such as a deleted log channel or the bot role sitting below the roles it must manage, and fixes most of them in one click.
When VeyroBot is not the right pick
If your server’s need is mainly a multi-layered reaction-role setup and nothing beyond it, there may be no reason to leave Carl-bot. The same goes for custom commands you built with TagScript: they cannot be migrated.
Frequently asked
What are Carl-bot’s free and premium limits?
Carl-bot lists these on its own page: reaction roles per server 250 → 1,000, YouTube channel alerts 5 → 20, Twitch stream alerts 2 → 5, weblog entries 100 → 500. Levels & XP, sticky messages, auto purge and timed reaction roles are listed on the premium side.
How much is Carl-bot premium?
We do not put a figure on this page: Carl-bot does not list one on its own site, and the sale runs through Patreon and Discord. We could not verify the numbers used in third-party articles at their source, so we do not repeat them — check their own page for the current amount.
How many servers does premium cover?
By Carl-bot’s own explanation, each slot in a Patreon tier covers one server and slots can be moved between servers, while a Discord subscription covers a single server per subscription. In VeyroBot each subscription is likewise active on one server and can be moved to another from the dashboard.
Will my reaction-role setup come with me?
No. Reaction-role mappings, custom commands and logging history do not transfer between bots; you would define these again in VeyroBot.
Start free; setup happens in the dashboard.
