Discord Ban Appeal Form
A banned member's appeal usually gets lost in staff DMs or never arrives at all. With VeyroBot, the banned person signs in with Discord on the appeal page on the website and writes their appeal; it arrives in the channel you choose as a card with Accept and Reject buttons. Decisions are made only with those buttons, and an accepted appeal lifts the ban and opens a case.
An appeal page with Discord sign-in
The banned person signs in with Discord through your server's own appeal link or the general appeal page on the website and writes an appeal of up to 1000 characters. Only accounts that are actually banned can appeal, and a person can have one pending appeal per server at a time.
Decisions only from the card
The appeal lands in your staff channel as a card that pings nobody, and the card always shows the ban reason. Whoever presses Accept or Reject needs the Ban Members permission in Discord at that moment. Accepting lifts the ban and opens an unban case; when rejecting you can add an optional reason of up to 500 characters.
Wait after rejection
You choose how long a rejected person waits before appealing again: 7, 30 or 90 days, or no further appeals; the default is 30 days. The wait belongs to that ban: if the ban is lifted in any way and the person is banned again later, the old rejection doesn't block a new appeal. VeyroBot tries to DM the person the decision.
The appeal link before the ban
While appeals are on, a member banned with /ban or from the dashboard is sent a DM with the appeal link right before the ban. The bot waits at most 3 seconds; if the DM fails, the ban still goes through and the link is shown to the moderator to copy. This DM isn't sent during an Anti-Raid lockdown or a Staff Protection incident.
Who it’s for
Communities that revisit some of their bans and want appeals collected in one staff channel instead of private messages, with a record of who decided; servers where several moderators make decisions.
Who it’s not for
Not needed for servers whose bans are final and that take no appeals. Decisions are made only from the Discord card, so it doesn't suit teams that want to handle appeals from the web dashboard alone; the banned person also has to sign in with the same Discord account that was banned.
Setup in 3 steps
-
1
Add the bot to your server
Open the invite link above, pick your server and approve the permissions. The bot comes online within seconds.
-
2
Open the Ban Appeals tab
Dashboard → your server → Security & Moderation → Ban Appeals: pick the Appeal channel, set the Wait after rejection, turn the switch on and save. Appeals can't be turned on without a channel; you can also add a guidance text (up to 500 characters) shown above the form.
-
3
Share the link and choose the reason setting
Copy your server's own address from the Appeal link field and add it to your rules channel or ban message. If Show the ban reason to the person appealing is on, the reason also appears on the appeal page and in the DM sent before the ban; if it's off, only the staff card shows it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I accept or reject an appeal from the dashboard?
No. The dashboard lists the last 50 appeals and can resend the card of a pending one, but decisions are made only from the card in Discord. That way the decider's Ban Members permission is checked in Discord every time; the dashboard's bot admin role doesn't replace it.
What happens if the ban is lifted from Discord's own menu?
The pending appeal closes and the buttons on its card are turned off. If Accept is pressed after the ban was already lifted, the appeal is marked Closed.
How long are appeal records kept?
They're deleted 180 days after the decision, or 180 days after the appeal if there was no decision; if the bot is still on the server, the appeal text and the rejection reason are removed from the card too. If the bot is removed from the server, the records are deleted after 30 days. The applicant's username isn't stored in the database.
Why can't a banned person see my server on the appeal page?
The general appeal page builds its list from the ban index VeyroBot keeps. Without the Ban Members or View Audit Log permission, VeyroBot can't read your ban list, so your server doesn't appear there and the dashboard warns you. Your server's own appeal link still works.
