Search command or notification feature?

The /twitch command is OFTEN confused with the Twitch Notifications feature, but they are completely separate things.

In other words, use /twitch to "check once if someone is currently live," and use Twitch Notifications to "get automatic updates whenever someone goes live."

Module, embed permission and the right search term

• The module switch must be enabled. These commands are tied to the "Search Anything" module, which is enabled by default. If disabled from the dashboard or Overview, none of them will work.
• The bot must have message sending and embed permissions. Since results arrive as embeds, the bot needs the Embed Links permission, otherwise the command will return an error.
• Type the keyword correctly. Search commands (anime, manga, pokemon, film, gif, hava, twitch) return the closest match to your input; overly general keywords may yield unexpected results.

• /anime <name> — Searches for anime on Kitsu; returns rating, episode count, and synopsis.
• /manga <name> — Searches for manga on Kitsu.io.
• /pokemon <name> — Searches for Pokémon on PokéAPI; returns type, abilities, and base stats.
• /film <name> — Searches for movies on TMDB; shows release date, rating, and synopsis.
• /gif <keyword> — Searches for GIFs on GIPHY and sends them to the chat.
• /weather <city> — Shows the current weather using OpenWeatherMap.
• /twitch <username> — Checks a streamer's current status on Twitch (see the distinction above).
• /dog — takes no query, fetches a random dog photo from the Dog CEO API.
• /joke — takes no query, fetches a random joke from JokeAPI (translated from English source to the server language).
• /advice — takes no query, fetches random advice/quotes (translated from English source to the server language).

If there is no result or the translation does not appear

• Typing an overly specific search term. Kitsu/TMDB/PokéAPI match names based on their databases; typos or nicknames may result in "no results found," so try again with the official/English name.
• Expecting translations instantly every time. English content for /joke, /advice, /anime, and /manga is translated and stored in your server's language; if the translation fails at that moment, the original English text is shown and retried on the next request.
• Expecting live notifications on Twitch. /twitch only shows the current status at that moment; for automatic tracking, you must set up the Twitch Notifications feature separately from the dashboard.

Which communities get the most out of it?

Suitable for: servers looking to liven up chat in anime/gaming/film communities; those wanting quick info/fun commands without adding a third-party bot.

Not suitable for: those wanting automatic updates for every live broadcast of a specific streamer/channel — this requires permanent tracking features like Twitch, YouTube, or Kick Notifications rather than a search command.

Any city recognized by OpenWeatherMap; specifying the country for major cities (e.g., "London, UK") helps clarify the result.
